The Sarah Jane Academy™ Advantage

Sarah Jane Academy™ , powered by Johnson Squared Consulting, was designed to fill two voids that many Diversity Equity & Inclusion advocates and professionals know well: (1) the need for tactics - not theory and (2) a highly-regarded DEI certificate at a reasonable cost. There's a reason we have a 99% "highly-valued" rating from our participants. We're different.

"Johnson Squared Consulting is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®."

The Curriculum

  • Week 1: DEI Evolution & Top Challenges

We'll explore the evolution of the DEI industry. Then, from the collected narratives of DEI practitioners from a global perspective, we'll also discuss the top DEI challenges of today.

  • Week 2: Your Role as a DEI Practitioner

We'll do a deep dive into each element of your role as a DEI practitioner, which is to diagnose, protect, strategize, advise and measure. We'll also discuss the "must have" advocates every DEI practitioner needs on their team.

  • Week 3: Getting to Work

This module will sharpen your awareness to common threats to DEI in multinational environments and equip you with the tools that can help. We'll tackle career trauma; protecting against unconscious bias and micro-aggressions; gaining leadership support; defining and neutralizing the meritocracy fallacy; and managing through change pain.

  • Week 4: DEI in Practice

You'll review a true case scenario. Then, to culminate the program, you'll create a responsive DEI action plan that reflects your learning.

Our Namesake

We have a rich heritage of equity, courage and resilience

Sarah Jane Academy™ bears the name of Sarah Jane Woodson Early, trailblazing abolitionist, feminist and the first Black woman professor in the United States. She also happens to be the ancestral aunt of our co-founders, Dr. Jade Singleton, DEI Strategist and Noelle Johnson, Global DEI Practitioner. “I couldn’t think of a better, more worthy name for what this program stands for,” Dr. Singleton shared. “Her lifelong pursuit of educational access and equity lives on in this space.”
